Donald Trump's attorney is once again asking the judge in hush-money criminal trial to recuse himself. Judge Juan Merchan found Trump in contempt of court Tuesday for violating his gag order when he talked about witnesses in the case, and fined him nine-thousand-dollars. Attorney Alina Habba claims it's obvious the judge is bias and there has to be a change. She added that she beleives it's unfair Trump can't talk about the case but anyone else can.        Columbia University says students who took over an academic building during pro-Palestinian protests are facing expulsion. School officials made it clear today they intend to follow through with suspensions for those who ignored Monday's deadline to disperse. Columbia said, "This is about responding to the actions of the protesters, not their cause."        Brown University is agreeing to hold an Israel divestment vote as students continue to protest the war in Gaza. The news came Tuesday when the University President announced a deal was reached between students and administration. The school agreed to let students meet with administration to argue why they should vote to divest from companies associated with Israel.        House Democrats are lining up against an effort to oust Speaker Mike Johnson. Democratic leadership today announced their conference will move to table Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Green's motion to vacate Johnson if put up for a vote. Greene is threatening to push Johnson out over a series of deals he's cut with President Biden, most recently on federal spending, government surveillance, and aid to Ukraine.        The U.S. and Mexico are taking joint action to slow the flow of illegal immigration at the border. In a phone conversation on Sunday, President Biden and Mexican President Obrador say they have committed to immediate measures to reduce these crossings. The exact measures are not being announced for now. Biden has reportedly weighed taking executive action at the border, but no orders have been given yet.        Today is the deadline for some student borrowers to get debt cancelled by consolidating their federal loans. The Department of Education is making this one-time payment adjustment. It's part of the Biden administration's effort to forgive nearly five-billion-dollars in student loans.
